Nominated for Los Angeles Emmy Award - Outstanding Cable TV Program Produced, Written, Directed, and Edited by Richard Gale
'It's a Wonderful City' is a parody of Frank Capra's classic 'It's a Wonderful Life,' which illustrates the importance of a City's planning department. George, the Jimmy Stewart character (played by Brian Rohan) spirals into despair when faced with the City's bureaucracy, and wishes the Planning Department never existed. Guardian Angel Clarance (Larry Butler) helps him get his wish, and George learns an important lesson when his hometown is transformed into an urban nightmare. Over 90% of the production utilized greenscreen special effects, with digital composites created by Richard Gale. In addition to an L.A. Emmy Nomination, 'It's a Wonderful City' won the 1st Place NATOA Award for Most Innovative Program in national competition. Also starring Jenny Martin as Mary and Cory Williams as Zsu Zsu. Music by Award-winning composer Christopher Brady. |
